Tony cooks Blue Apron. Nine meals with pictures and comments.


    I started cooking with blue apron because my wife ordered a trial subscription and asked me to give it a shot. I have cooked mostly simple recipes in the past and did not really know what to expect. After cooking with blue apron I admit that I was impressed. The quality of the food you get with each blue apron meal is excellent. The produce is always very crisp and fresh. The meats are of the highest quality, and all other ingredients were very good. The kits include everything you need to cook a meal. They include spices, sauces, and any other bits needed. You are expected to have a few basic things to cook these meals specifically; olive oil, salt, pepper, frying pan, baking sheet, aluminum foil. I learned a few new dishes and my cooking skills have improved since I started. The directions are easy to follow for a beginner in the kitchen. You need to keep up a fairly quick pace because the instructions require you to cook and prepare multiple things at the same time. Would I recommend blue apron to my friends and family? Yes, of course I would.

The meal sizes are medium. If you are used to really large portions then you may need an additional dish with the meal. Based on my experience I needed to cook many of the meats a little longer than the directions stated.
